Strong enough to sew on.

Swedish Tracing Paper is a fabric-like paper that you can use for tracing patterns so you will no longer have to cut them. It is drapably soft yet strong enough to sew on. Be sure to base the pattern together first and try it on to check the fit. 29" (W) x 10 yards. It’s best to do a test run on fabric that is similar to the fabric you will be using for the project.

  • Soft yet strong enough to sew on
  • See-through pattern paper
  • Great for making a durable long lasting pattern.

It is great for turning applique as it presses so crisply, and does not shrink. It can also be machine washed and dried. Lastly, it is good as a backing for machine embroidery, (although it does not tear away as cleanly as traditional 'tear-away', but it does work).

Yes, you can! Use a medium to medium-high setting on the iron and can be used with or without steam.

Every Sewist Should Have This on Hand!

Swedish Tracing Paper (STP) makes customizing patterns SO much easier. It is far more durable and forgiving (not to mention quieter!) than standard tracing paper. Having used it for both garment patterns and home dec. projects, I can say that I absolutely LOVE this stuff! Use Scotch magic tape on it and the it will endure many, many revisions. I use it for prototypes also as it is more accurate than using regular paper and far less expensive than experimenting with fabric! STP looks and feels similar to tear-away embroidery stabilizer but has enough character of fabric to make it an important tool in the arsenal of any sewist. I'm in the process of transferring all my favorites patterns to STP. There needs to be another sale on this item!
