HOW DID YOU BECOME A MASTER TAILOR/DESIGNER?

When I turned 7 years old, to help support the family, I had to pick up a trade. I chose tailoring.

HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN TAILORING?

I used to watch tailors in the window of their shops doing repairs, custom work, and alterations. I thought I would like the education I would get.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TAILOR?

I have been training, doing apprenticeships, and working as a tailor for 66 years.

WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS DIFFERENT THAN OTHERS? HOW DO YOU STAND OUT?

After all these years I still work hard to make sure I do the same quality work that I was taught.

WHAT’S WAS ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING / CREATIVE JOBS YOU HAVE EVER DONE?

I wanted to help out a wedding. I had to take 2 dresses and make them into one. It was a full weeks work.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP UP WITH THE TRADE?

I look at magazines and listen to the customers and their changing needs and changing styles.

WHAT IS NEW AND EXCITING FOR 2020?

2020 has been a challenging year to say the least.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT WAWAK?

WAWAK always has what I need, new products to keep up with the times. Their customer service and quick delivery are excellent.

WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR COMPANY, WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?

Most proud of my work and the appreciation shown to me by our many returning customers.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU GIVE TO THE NEXT GENERATION OF DESIGNERS AND TAILORS?

Listen to your customer and be willing to do what is best.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ENSURE YOU CONTINUE TO GROW AND DEVELOP?

I plan to keep working , learning and trying to find new ways to do things better.
