Which color would be most suitable for a caramel colored leather? Is the “rust” more of an orange or brown?

The closest caramel color would be "gold". The "rust" color in the nylon bonded thread runs more on the brown side.

I am looking for a thread to use when making bags from vinyl and faux leather and canvas. I have Janome HD9. Which bonded nylon should I purchase? I recently purchased a poly/cotton from Wawak but not sure it is the correct type.

The tex 70 would be a bit thicker, so if your fabrics are a medium to heavy weight, then this would be a very good thread for those materials. We also have the BNM-1 which is a tex 35 for lighter weight materials.

Thanks for your question. This particular thread has a chemical agent added for added durability, but not specifically for UV resistance.

Can I use Tex 70 this thread on a Consew 205rb with DPx17 needle or is it considered too light?

Hello! We would be a little more information to answer your question. DPx17 is a needle system. What size needle were you going to use? A size 18 needle should suffice.

Hi, the tex 70 nylon bonded would be ok to use. We would also recommend a tex 100 poly wrapped poly (like the GTDH) or a tex 80 cotton covered poly (like the JTD2). Thanks for your question.

Hi Jeanie, unfortunately, this color has been discontinued for the larger spools. We do not have any intention at this time to add it again. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

It is very dark brown, when it's up against a black fabric though, you will notice it's brown and not black.

Only one size?

Such gorgeous thread! But I prefer to purchase larger quantities. Will this be a possibility someday?

GABRIELE Q.
Hi Gabriele, thank you for your review. We do carry some of these colors in 3,000 and 6,000 yard lengths, is there a specific color you were interested in? We are currently reviewing our product line in the hopes of enhancing it.

Good color selection, poor quality cones in 375 yd (small) cones

This is the highest quality bonded nylon thread I have ever used! Unfortunately, the brighter colors that come in the small 375 yd cones have some cone spooling issues. Brand new cones have "double back" on the thread as it unspools causing the machine to stop and the bobbin to overtighten it's tension. Seems to be less of an issue once you've broken in the cone. Would recommend these get spun on plastic spools and come in larger cones which unspool more consistently.

BRIDGET W.
Thank you for your review. We will investigate this.

Not a gray....but blue

Great thread however it is not a gray...it is more of a blue gray. I couldn’t use it on the cushion project because I needed a true gray and this wasn’t it.

Thanks for your review. We are currently reviewing the colors in this line. In the meantime, we have credited your account for the thread. Sorry it didn't work out.

Not gray

The quality of his thread is terrific. Although the one I purchased is labeled as gray, it's actually more of a blue color. I have a drapery work room and sew with a lot of gray fabrics that are on trend right now. This thread looks blue on all the gray fabrics I put it next to.
