Hi, I'm thinking to switch from Gütermann Mara 70 to this thread. Is there any big difference?

A:
They are very similar, though you will not have the Gutermann name or the variety of colors to choose from. Also, the Gutermann thread may appear to a less "fuzzy" appearance. Both threads are the same tex size, are polyester covered poly core threads and could be used for the same applications.

I have had success with A&E Perma Core Tex40. How is this thread in terms of quality, compared to the Perma Core?

Hi Dan, we believe the Perma-Core the poly/poly thread is very popular, also has a high elongation and holds its color well. We do believe the main difference is the brand name. Give it a shot, and if you don't think so, contact us. We have a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee on this thread. Thanks for your question!

What is Spun Polyester thread? How is it different from Core Polyester Thread?

A:
Spun polyester is made up of thousands of filaments of polyester. Core polyester or poly/poly has a center “core” made of poly, with an additional wrapping of polyester around it. Spun polyester is not as strong as core polyester.

Not the best quality.

This thread has a lot of lint! It's really fuzzy and you'll be cleaning your machine a ton! Also the weave is pretty loose. If I were you I'd just get the Gutermann Mara 100. Its pretty much the same price, makes way less lint, and is a much tighter and more consistant weave. I'll probably return this thread.
