Sunguard UVR bonded polyester thread is mildew and UV resistant. It is the perfect match to Sunbrella fabrics. It can withstand most severe weather conditions. Tex 90 and size B92. Available in a variety of colors and sizes. Please note: actual color may vary from picture due to computer setting.

You can use it in a home sewing machine with the proper size needle and by making sure to adjust the tension in your machine, Your machine may labor a bit more with the heavier fabric or thread though.

How long will the Sunguard thread last when exposed to the elements?

Unfortunately, we cannot give any time period for longevity of the thread. There are too many factors that can contribute to the breakdown of the thread which are mostly out of our control. Acid rain, UV rays, airborne chemicals, cleaning agents and other chemicals are just some of the factors that can break down threads to varying degrees. We are just unable to give any estimates.
