No back lash (NBLK) spring.

Star Disc Springs (also known as no back lash springs) work in most standard size (L) industrial bobbin cases. They are used to stop the bobbin from spinning after the machine is stopped. If the bobbin still spins the thread will get tangled and adversely affect stitches. They will work with all of our bobbin cases except for BOB-7C. Available in a variety of quantities.

This type of case is referred to as a “No Back Lash” (NBL) case. The NBL spring is used in high speed sewing. It is really a “brake” that stops the bobbin from spinning when the machine is stopped. The drawback to using a NBL bobbin case is it cannot be used with paper/cardboard bobbins such as our Redi Wound Bobbins. We do not offer a bobbin case with the spring at this time. We do however, have the Star Disc Spring if they would like to install them. The part nos. are PRT6120 or PRT6121.
