Full of technological features including the sensor steam handle, the Velocity 230IR is an advanced home iron that can take care of the toughest creases while being gentle on delicate fabrics with its eco and turbo settings. The Velocity 230IR’s patented built-in steam generator produces up to 55% more steam than traditional steam irons for perfect ironing in less time. While traditional irons are prone to leaking and spitting, the Velocity irons use a patented 2-heating element and micro-pump technology that pre-heats the water and turns it into steam before it reaches the soleplate. The Velocity 230IR iron will give you perfect constant steam at even the lowest temperatures, yet are 100% safe for all fabrics. Also features an auto shut off with by-pass ability, built-in anti-scale system, 1800 watts, 1.2 cup (0.079 us gallon) water capacity, 8.2' cord with 360 degree swivel and a limited 1 year warranty. Iron should not be left unattended while on.

Lowboy Irons

Lowboy Irons

Lowboy Irons are Steam/Electric replacement irons for use with a Lowboy or other steam system. Steam/Electric Irons combine internal temperature control with powerful “dry” steam for some of the most reliable irons around for commercial and industrial use.  Steam/Electric irons require connection to both a steam system and an electrical source.

wet vs dry steam

Wet vs. Dry Steam

Steam produced by Standard and Gravity-Fed irons is considered “wet” steam—water enters the iron either through a built-in reservoir or a gravity feed, where the steam is generated using heat within the iron itself. For Industrial Steam Irons, steam is generated under high pressure in an external Mini-Boiler, Lowboy, or other steam system and then fed through to the iron. Steam generated in this manner is considered a “dry” steam because of the lower moisture content. It is much more powerful and concentrated, making it great for industrial uses.
