What is the best, most popular, recommended size for piping pillows? Thank you!

A:
It would depend on the style and size of the pillow you would be creating. The 5/32"- 8/32" seem to be the most popular sizes though.

Is this cord round? Can it be used for decorative finish? I would like to use 1/8 size for corded bound buttonholes as well as piping around collars and cuffs on ladies garments. Will it hold up well to washing and dry cleaning?

A:
It is round, but it's better suiting inside a casing. Inside a casing, it would hold up well to washing and dry cleaning.

Why does the drapery cord thickness vary?

A:
When you measure the thickness, there is always a high side and a low side (because of how the cord spools off the braider under tension). For example, the 4/32” (DRPS300) when you mic it the low side is exactly 4/32 while the high side is 5/32. Also when the piping is relaxed it can swell…braided products are hard to measure.

Wondering if this is a braided cord or twisted cord?

A:
There is a braided sheath wrapped over the cotton to make this a braided cord,
