Clover triangle clay tailor's chalk is used for sewing and quilting. Use with light pressure and on wrong side of the fabric when possible. Great for thinner fabrics and will brush off easily. Available in a variety of colors. Pre-test on sample fabric before using.

Why does the tailors chalk change shades from order to order?

The manufacture makes different color chalks, including yellow and white. When they are switching from one batch to the other (for example from yellow to white) this will cause the first few boxes of the new "white batch" to be a little more yellow and vice versa, sometimes the first few from a yellow batch, can appear whiter than it should... as it is mixed with the previous white batch.
