Kai offers superior cutting action for quilting, crafting or dressmaking.
The Kai Professional Shear is ideal for thicker, more difficult fabrics. Made of a high carbon, hardened stainless steel. The addition of carbon allows for a steeper cutting angle, giving the scissor a sharper, finer edge. The carbon allows the finer edge to last longer. This gives them a better ability to cut thicker fabrics and it allows for easier use. Available in a variety of sizes.
Features
- Stainless steel blades with vanadium
- Hand polished and balanced
- Allows for fatigue-free cutting on all types of fabrics
- Available in a variety of sizes

I own a custom drapery workroom and have several pair of these, in several sizes (and several different models). These will cut through anything, and with ease. Your hands will thank you! It is worth mentioning that I have them all sharpened professionally as these are important tools in my workroom. I have them serviced and sharpened by Wolf Industries in NC. I have used other businesses and local people, but they don’t understand them well enough, and don’t come back balanced. They have different levels of sharpening too. I had them make one pair with an altered blade, it’s slightly serrated for cutting sheers and light weight materials. I highly recommend you look into this option if you ever work on light weight materials. I’ve never seen a better price on these Kai shears anywhere else. You should buy a pair or two, you won’t regret it!
I do upholstery work for living and these shears rock! I can cut any fabric, vinyl or leather with ease and they seem to stay sharp! Should have bought these a long time ago!!

I have a pair of Kai scissors that I purchased 34 years ago, and they are still going strong and never been sharpened. They are almost as sharp as ever and look like new.....I love them and have always been satisfied that they were well worth the money. I purchased them from my local machine repair shop and thought they were a bit 'pricey' at that time but the gentleman assured me I would never be sorry, and he was absolutely correct!! I would not hesitate to purchase another pair when needed.
