Great iron. I bought it specifically for my sewing room, and LOVE the fact that it stays on all the time. Only one item that is less than ideal: one is supposed to turn off the water supply after each use, since the water bottle has to be hung ideally 36" above the iron, this is somewhat annoying for me, have to climb on a stool each time. I think I might add a valve at the base to avoid this, but it would be nice if it came with a shutoff also at the iron connection.
Iron works wonderfully, I have never enjoyed ironing so much. I can turn to it when I need it and not have to wait for it to heat up, and the big water reservoir is fantastic. I have had it for about two months and still have 2/3 of the bottle filled up.

My all time favorite iron is the Hot Steam SGB-600 and I can’t believe how long I went without splurging on such a reasonably priced powerhouse steam iron. This iron plugs into a standard outlet (make sure to check that when researching commercial steam irons) and has a water container that holds almost an entire gallon of distilled water. The water container is attached to a wall and then the hose needs to hang from the ceiling or a high point. The iron came with the rubber mat, which is nice! I added the Iron Shoe which allows you press ANYTHING and it won’t leave shiny marks – even on cheap satin and poly!
This iron has a powerful burst of steam and it DOES NOT leak, yeah! Have you ever ruined fabric from a leaky iron? I have had this iron for quite a while and have never had as much as a drop.
This iron is far better than the standard home use irons. It takes a while to heat up, but it produces a tremendous amount of steam, it gets very hot, and you I don't have to constantly fill up the water reservoir. The customer service if fantastic. My first iron would not work, so they walked me through some diagnostic tests. When that failed, they shipped a new iron.
A few things to note:
1. Do not let it hang off of your rubber mat. It will scorch the surface beneath.
2. It is like all other irons in that it does not stay hot if used continuously. As a result, if you aren't paying attention, it will spit. And it can stain whatever you are pressing. I was pressing large amount of linen fabric when it started spitting and left a brown stain on my white linen. Then I noticed the light had come on indicating it was no longer at the correct temperature.
3. It does not have automatic shut off, so you have to turn it off. I like this feature but just be aware.
All in all, it is a wonderful iron that presses linen and other fabrics that tend to wrinkle easily so much better than my Rowenta iron.
I bought this iron about two years ago & for the most part it's been quite the good iron. It spits on rare occasions but I've no other issues with it here in my alterations shop.
Can anyone tell me which iron shoe will fit this iron? I would like to order another one.
For anyone looking to buy it, I just want to say that I've had this iron for a long time and it's perfect, I highly recommend it!!
